Happy New Year Everyone!
Today is the last day of CNY, luckily I made it back to the blogging world on time to wish everyone happy cny!
So, mia so long, went where did wad?
Well, after I came back from taiwan on 14 jan, some 1 mth ago, I was busy painting the house. Yes, as in painting the house literally, not painting the house red or wad... Yesh...painting it. Me n my bf n my mum painted the kitchen while I painted the doors and toilet... orange and green for the doors...with Matching Pipes (in the toilet). I must say I m very pleased with myself for the painting job well done. I also drew a sun and vege and two fishes and a capsicum on the kitchen wall. When I m free I upload the pictures here and let u all enjoy my wonderful masterpiece. Hey, it looks cute ok~ though is really kiddo..
I also fixed the toilet window where some of the wood is roting due to the presence of wood-worm and wood-bugs. Damn disgusting when pulling out the worms but yes, I did it and sealed them dead with cement.
Further caused a blackout fixed the lights in the kitchen... and ultimately paid 50bucks to get the professionals to install the lights. Actually I can fix de, just that my mum was abit freaky and I m abit lazy, thus, use money to solve the problem.
Besides that, I also made pineapple tarts this CNY. And, blew up caused the old old oven to breakdown. Actually, the wires are really old..so..it kinda..yah, jus cause a power trip when used. So, not really my fault, but still, finally and luckily still managed to get a small bottle of pineapple tarts out to give to his parents.
CNY comes and is going... Every year, I await my result slip for my performance for the year--- the ang bao from his parents. The amount usually show how much they like me and such... one year when he kinda pissed his parents and therefore his parents were not too pleased, i got i tink..30bucks? Good time I get 50bucks... So....this year... YESH! I scored A... :D I m more happy about the thought of the ang bao than the amount in the ang bao. Cos the big ang bao means happy with me. Of cos lah..I put in alot of effort to suck up be extra nice to his parents. From my log cake to my pineapple tart....
Beside the ang bao, we got fish and abalone from them this year.. Yeah... maomao n mew mew get to eat abalone... The naughty mew mew only like fish n squid but not the expensive abalone. Wadever, the 'shi-huo' maomao can take his time to enjoy the abalone then :D
V'day...well...besides going for driving lesson and project meeting, I erh..skipped lectures to go for a short celebration. After my specific demand not to give me a bouquet of fresh flowers, I got a bouquet of super big 3 soft toy flowers... Love it.. We had an enjoyable dinner at some place in lot1... Took neo-print and yep, one day gone. Its jus another day...
Finally... I've reached the event of the day...
Today is the expiry date of my PDL, also happen to be the day I take my TP. So, its either a renewal of PDL or get a new license.
At 7am is my warm up and 825 is my test time.
I pray for route 2,5,10, and dun wanna get the teck whye lane route where there are sharp turns, slopes to stop, having to stop at zebra crossing which happens to be on a slope too. I prayed.
Ballot starts and my heart skipped a beat. the call for no.2 came and went. My heart sped up. No5 came and went , My heart sped up. My name is called for route 7, my heart nearly stopped. Its the number I kinda predicted I will get ytd night. Ok, I immediately went to check my route. Fortunately, no c any words, Teck Whye..yesH! Battle half won~
Met my tester, a kinda friendly looking TP. First thing did S-course. ok la, usually also no prob, so not too worried. Nxt is the vertical parking, and where shit happens.
Somehow, I cant park in and I see my car near hitting the 2nd pole at the back. I MUST do correction. But Sh*t! I dunno how to do correction. So I turned infront, went forward abit more. And try again. Same thing! Goin to hit pole 2. I try again, doing the same thing. AGAIN Same results. As I was panicing already, the tester look at his watch. And I remembered, "Exceed stipulated time"-3min= IMMEDIATE FAILURE. BAD!!!
I was contemplating just reversing and hittin the pole straight, but that would cost me 10marks if i hit one and since I will hit the 2nd pole, the 3rd pole sure also hit, so its a 20points! Still fail!
I panic. I went all the way forward to where I started at, and try again, HENG HENG can go in smoothly this time. Dunno why first time cant.
"Turn left"... Me: (Breathe in deep breath, heart throbbing at incredible speed), OK.
Nxt was slope. So far so good. It calmed me down a little. And then, followed by parallel parking. Suddenly, I found my weak left knee shaking like it never shook before. And while doing my parallel parking, suddenly, the car went all quiet. "HUH?"..I was shocked. Usually cars before stall will have "Groon grOan gron"..but no leh. I remembered my friend saying tt he oso had such experience, the car is dead. HUH? I check, indeed, stalled engine, quickly, I restarted and continued parking. Thanks to my shaking leg, I've apparently released too much crutch..
But fortunately its ok... and after the ok-crank course, the tester ask me to move out. Hmm... he din say much so means there is still chance to pass despite all the hiccups.
My route is all clear, not bad, and wow, one car actually slowed down for me to lane change. Wad a change. Usually, they dun accelerate when I signal left I already very happy le, now, a car actually slow down for me to change lane..Now thats wad happens when u have a Traffic Police on ur car...
All was ok besides me waiting pretty long at a junction to turn right. Cars keep coming and buses keep turnin and I m still there... So... I guess oso got deduct marks..
Finally, I saw a familiar route and tester ask me turn right...yes! thats the route back to test center..wait..could that means I chalked up 20points so I haben even do U-turn and going back le??
Have faith, have faith.
I met my drivin instructor back at BBDC, he ask me how, I jus tell him only cok up is at the circuit there loh..followed the TP upstairs. Sit down, he smile at me, I smile at him. He ask me, what do I tink, I just ask him, how many points he deducted me for my vertical parking. When he told me 6marks..My heart sank...6marks...agggh...
He said my speed can be faster..I was tinking, hmm, I m a safe driver mah...oops..but anyway, he say I m still not bad, at least can drive, just that my vertical parking abit 'lan'... -.- ""..but not bad, better than other people who cant drive, and so...He Passed Me~
YESH! I passed~ I din managed to listen to wad other things he said, just happy loh~ Thank him and left le..
Took picture, watch video and apply for my license. YeSH!
Informed everyone and feeling happy. Took a bus back to sch where I enjoy a little celebratory breakfast at Mac eating...by mself..:'(... and then..blog and gonna prepare for project meeting le..and today's celebration?? Well, mayb, till after my lesson..at 9pm tonite..sigh... Yay..
But yesH! I Passed!!! :D
