YTD: Bad day
Had quite a bad day ytd. I woke up late coz I forgot to set alarm..(man, haben heard of tis excuse for a long time)...and woke at 8am when my meeting starts at 9am...duh..rushed off at 8.15am (hey, i bathed within tis 15min and had even time to select wad to wear)...Reached at 915...took MRT...usually i take bus... Bt anyway, coz I was rushing, forgot to bring my charging extra batt. Darn...batt low...
After the meeting, went to eat and after that went to meet my prospect. Darn...I m lost. From my office at Fuji Xerox, I refused to waste money take MRT to the 2stops away Tiong Bahru and took bus instead. Darn...Bad bad bad bad move... I was carted off to Queenstown.... and darn...Got off there, and took a bus, finally reached my destination...but after bout 2hrs of being lost...sighz...
Anyway, by now my phone is totally drained, although I switched it off during the bus journey to conserve energy, it died before I managed to call my 'client' when I reached. I ran off to buy the tings I wanna buy and did someting I nv tot I wld.
I went into a hp shop, smiled sweetly at the guy sales person and asked if they did sell k750i phones. When the answer was positive, I smiled sweetly again and asked, "Can u do me a favour?" *smile sweetly*. And I pluck my courage and asked if he can lend me a charger to charge my phone coz I need a number and my phone is dead. The reply was negative, coz all phones are sealed and chargers as well... *look innocently sad*, I asked if he could lend me a phone to check my number. And so nice, he agreed. After getting wad I want, *smile sweetly*and sae "Big thankyou, you really v nice, Thankyou"
Years ago, I dun tink I wld haf done that. Bt society haf thickened my skin that I m thick skin. I learnt two tings that books dun teach. To get things done, you can ...
1) Be mean and nasty and demand for it.
2) Act sweet and innocent and polite and poor ting.
method 1 is to use when using customer service. Bt me, I m nt mean and nasty, bt firm. Although I did complain, I did it with sense and logic. I din do it unreasonably. Coz the service really bad then I complain. So when u cant get tings done, b firm and nasty, they tend to give leeways.
method 2 is used when u are desperate and need help, as was in the example jus now, and my previous post bout the guy who drove me in his half-washed-car when I m lost (again).
Anyway, the ting is, I got tings done. Bt I cant believe I did that..lol...
Today: Good (food) day
After tuition, I went home to have the rice dumpling that I bought ytd from Tiong Bahru. Nice...den I went to heartland mall and bought a bouquet of flowers..few stalks,rather, 3roses with decorations, bt looks pretty..den I rushed off to Chinatown to buy my secret weapon...
I bought Bird Nests Tarts for his parents. Today is his mom's bday..thus. the flowers are for her..I din noe wad to get...always buy tonic I buy til sian...last yr bought someting tt they have le..so...tis yr...buy someting impractical, bt someting tt all (most) women like...
I m smart...I called twice their hse, no one answered. *panic*...called his mom's hp..finally, they at home. finally, took a bus and reached there nicely. Half worried coz she invited me to eat with them...I marched to their hse.
Bingo! His mom was v happy with the gift. Esp my secret weapon. Anyway, besides bird nests tarts, oso gt some 'Xue Ke-tarts'...nice...lol~
Anyway, we went to town to eat. Initally they wanted to dine at some place in Paragon..Bt super expensive..single main dish alone cost 58bucks..-.-""....Then we went to Triple 3...it looks nice there and per person cost 58bucks -.-""...bt there is buffet with up to 60dishes to choose from. Bt...we din go there coz the seats nt good.
Finally went to Jack's place. It was quite squishy squashy there. Ate their set meal, soup, steak, dessert, tea...super full... Oh, we ate escargot. Super nice... The food there was great, bad bad ting is, their dishes aint v well cleaned. His sis explained tt tis a result of washing with dishwasher, bt I m kinda..totally... -.-""...I m kinda a clean freak, so while every one was sipping their drinks, I was madly rubbin at my cup. I decided the stain was in the cup, so we demanded that they change my drinks. When dessert arrived, it was kinda dirty again, bt we let it go coz it was on the outside...kinda...-.-""..
Realised I've been eatin alot of weird food these days. It was puffer fish, then escargot, and catfish too. Super nice...
Delicious...yummy...den we went home...And I'm Skype-ing again...*happy*
