 Busy busy busy...that time of the sem again...  Saturday, November 03, 2007
Uni life... summarise it. One word. Rushed.
U rush to bid, when u got the module, u rush to get ur books, get ur bearings on wad the prof is saying, den when u finally grasp the essence, its time to rush project, and upon completion of project, rush to study, and wala~ u've passed yet another sem...
True?? Well, I feel so. All my uni time is spent rushing to meet daily requirements. Not even a time to spare.
Anyway, its that time of the sem. Project, nono, project due period. Its a freaking scary period.
My record so far, chionging and editing my report thru the nite, til 5plus (in the morning) and rush another pwp presentation slides til 7plus, nearly 8am tis morning, finally, i feel settled enuf to sleep. Then, waking up at 11am to do the animation and polishin up of my tutorial slides. At the same time, my group mates wake from their slumber and start to see the compiled thing that I've finalised. But anyway, not tt they din help, they sent me alot of the stuff, jus tt the final stuff mus b done by me cos the pictures and the fake artist's impression is to be done by me. Well, when I m free, I may upload the artist impression that i've done. To the pro, its CHEY~ But to those unskilled, its WOW~
Ok, anyway, how I managed to stay awake? Well, I cant sleep without finishing it up..too stressed...
Finally, all went reasonably nice.
I tot my presentation is really previous groups did role play that got much laughter cos they act like "Ah pek"..me..the one man show presentation, hw to role play so many? Prof' face is so straight and bored when I m presenting. I was like, shit, I m screwed. But hey, in the end, she lik it. My usual tactic, Vase-route. I m usually the one making things pretty pretty, adding animation and stuff, so tis time, cos the work is rushed out in 2hrs, its pretty much limited in substance. So...go by the vase-route of Top rate visually, but substance wise..-.-""..but heck, prof likes it.
She says my presentation is well done, superb animation, looks professional. And my video is effective. :D
I tink she took into account tt it is done by one person.
Why its a one man show?
Hmm, cut the story short, nt fated with the group. Site visit, clash with my other project group. Final meeting jus 3days before the actual day, again clash with my other group. Since the other group meeting was scheduled one week ago, first come first serve basis rite? So, I decided to pull out from the group. I dun wanna b a free rider. I dun wanna present on someting that I m nt familiar with. Being a free rider is jus nt my style. Imagine presenting on someting tt is nt wad u did. Like passing off other's work as ur own mah.
Anyway, I m afraid the group gt abit pissed tt I pulled out last min. Tink they oso scared I go bad mouth them cos i actually went to ask the prof for permission to do the project myself, so mayb they worried bout wad I wld say when telling the prof I wanna do myself a presentation. So, after I told them I m nt with them anymore, no reply. nt even ok or wad. I oso heck. I m too busy these days.
Anyway, glad the presentation went well. Oh, and yes, I m a lucky ass, my laptop went OUT OF BAtt and shut down at the last slide, jus before I wanna show the page, "END" followed by acknowledgment. Phew, luckily I looked calm enuf so no one suspected anyting when I said its the end, when there is actually one last slide saying its the end.
Overall, everyting went well, and I rushed off to the birthday dinner... rushed to orchard, took one stop to 4 seasons hotel, wanted to walk in but lost my way, finally taking cab and spending $5.30, I reached safe n sound..
Phew~ Hectic Day~
