Life lesson that we learn from cats
Monday, December 29, 2008

From the book,
"Two Cats and the woman they own or Lessons I learned from My Cats" - Patti Davis

I found myself reading thru this book very intently and wiping tears as I read on...

This book is a short story about a cat and the cats she owned..and it is so..sweet..very very short story la..but really sweet..together in the story, there will be some life lessons..

This one quote made me sit back and think...

"It's true that love can lead to sorrow and hurt,
but avoiding love is never a good solution.
Hearts are meant to be open and full,
not kept safe behind walls.
Pascal said,
When one does not love too much,
one does not love enough. "

It is written at the start of the chapter..on hw the author was reluctant to start loving again, after having loved and lost...her dog..until this cat walked into her life, literally...and she fell in love with animals again..

Then..fear struck my heart...and I fear the day I will be like her... quotes
"when the death of a pet has been so hard on me, that I had been holding back from lovin another animal in that all-consuming unconditional way most pet-owners do. I dint want my heart to break again. "

I guess it's true..fear..of having the heart broken again puts so much fear into one's heart that she may never dare to love again. It is only human nature to fear being hurt, especially when they have tasted the taste of bitter pain. But...fortunately for the author...this new cat jus strolled into her life, without a word, without her choice...and she fell in love again...

Sweet story.

:)
