Ok, I lost all my programes and stuff.
The smartest part is, I could have jus refreshed my windows, but well, tt's past.
Look on the bright side, I got a totally clean look, clean computer.
Last time, due to some conflicting errors due to the language, I cant uninstall some chinese games. Resorted to jus deleting the files, but dunno hw to edit registry, so deep inside, I know the file is still there. Now, wahla, everything is clean.
On the other hand, I've also changed my free anti-virus software and anti-spyware. This new anti-virus software is not only cute (umbrella as its mascot), it gives a cute beeping sound when detect virus. Of cos, avast (my old anti virus software) gives an intimidating ambulance sound to warn u of the seriousness of the virus, but seriously, i rather have a cute beeping than a scary sound.
I've also disabled my auto run so that thumbdrive wont auto-open. Afterall, thumb drive is the easiest way to get a virus, so I stopped it. And I swear no matter hw long it takes, whose thumb drive it is, I WILL always scan it before I open. Enuf of getting virus this way. And I also swear to use right click--> explore, since I'm told that double clicking is the other easiest way to activate virus.
I've done most prevention, so hope it will be til retirement do I have to reformat my com.
My firefox I also change back to version 2. Version 3 is good, but alot of add-on not updated. Foxmark, which is highly impt to a person who despite all the reformating, ALWAYS forget to backup her bookmark. Foxmarks helped me save half of my original bookbookmarks and restored to my computer..SMART!
I also installed a new theme for my computer:
Okok, its a vista wannabe..but so wad? the thing is, I like it. I like the clean look. Though its wannabe, and I hate wannabe.. and its a really small change, wad matters is, I like the clean look of this vista wannabe..so I like it.
Yep.. I'm Lovin it! :D
