In case u are wondering, yes I managed to put my printer back after dismantling it. And after resetting the waste ink counter, it is back in service.
I shld name my dear printer, who'd been with me for my 4 long uni years and printed countless lecture notes and tutorial for me...who'd been here printin project reports thru the wee hours and making the special efforts to make as little noise as he could.
Dearest printer my love, Welcome back to the team...

dismantled her printer..
lol.
Well, nw i pray it will work la..
But anw, i dun dismantle it cos of fun or wad. I haf my reasons.
It has this error msg tt says the waste ink absorption is almost full. Upon it being full, it will screw the printer totally n refuse to print. If I sent to canon for servicing, its gonna cost me the same as if I buy a new printer. If I dun wash it, its full, it will stop printing altogether.
In short, if I try, there is a chance it may work. If I dun try, its gonna die anw. So I tried.
Plus, I bought insurance. I made somewoof agree to help me fix it back if I fail to b able to put it back after dismantling it.heh.
Plus anw, with my bff, google, wad can go wrong?
So, while waiting for the absorption pads to dry, my printer looks like tis:

Appeal to friends and all to contribute to BEAD-project.
What the heck is tis??
Build-Elaine-A-Desktop project!
As u all noe, suzy's screen cracked. I've subsequently bought a monitor and keyboard, gt an old tower from turtle, and now trying to fix it up.
So kinda trying to gather more old computer parts to fix together a new old-desktop for mEow. :D
Reuse, reduce, recycle.
Good for environment, and good for mEow's pocket.
Do ur part for the environment.
Take part in the BEAD-project! :D

Solution Monday, February 16, 2009
Well, yea, suzy cracked. Notice that picture from the previous post. Yes, it cracked.
I did someting stupid and someting happened and so it cracked..Yea, there, at the bottom left hand corner.
I m really feeling really grateful that a fren who, upon seeing my fb update asked if I m ok and anyting he can help. I explained wad happened, and with ease, he offered to build me a desktop and payment, he pay first and I pay him back in installment later on. I din take up the offer though it was so temptingly there. But I really am grateful that in times of needs, I haf frens who, without any T&C offers to help.
That, I m deeply grateful.
Ok, so the solution.
I racked my brain to get the cheapest solution. I considered hire-purchase buy a laptop from sch, get a loan from sch to buy a laptop, and various options. In the end, I came up with a cute idea, buy a monitor.
And I did. And so now, I have a monitor, but no cpu and no keyboard and stuff, and i connect it to my Suzy.
Well, that means I will be building me a desktop when I graduate, get a job and can afford it.
So for now, I m using a laptop that looks like tis:
 Anyone wanna contribute to "Buy-mEow-a-desktop-fund" ? March is coming *hint hint* lol! Oh, special thanks to the gov for the GST credits that is coming in this 1st of march. For this monitor cost 199bucks, wich jus nice, nicely paid for, by the government. :D
Not such a bad day.
Hope tt tml will be even better.
